Parent Information Sessions at the Magdeburg University Women's Hospital: Start Your Childbirth Journey Well-Informed
The University Clinic for Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Reproductive Medicine in Magdeburg, headed by Prof. Dr. med. Atanas Ignatov, invites expectant parents to an informational evening on Thursday, September 10, 2026, covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.
- Topic: The event will provide comprehensive insights into obstetric care at the perinatal center, which offers the highest level of care.

- Additional dates: Every second Thursday of the month, starting at 5:00 p.m.

- Important Note: A representative from the Magdeburg Registry Office will be available at this event to answer questions regarding birth certificates.
Specialists from various fields will present the obstetrics department and the neonatal intensive care units and provide expert answers to all questions regarding safe, high-quality medical care that is family-centered. At the “Early Intervention” information booth, visitors will gain a comprehensive overview of the services offered, as well as helpful information on support and counseling services.
A guided tour of the delivery room and the mother-infant unit will also provide a vivid look at the on-site procedures and facilities.
In addition, individual appointments for birth registration and planning can be scheduled during the parents’ information evening.
