New Lecture Series on Sports Medicine
June 23, 2026 - The Cardiovascular Prevention and Sports Medicine (KPS) Working Group at Magdeburg University Medical Center invites the public to two lecture evenings. The series kicks off on July 8, 2026, with a lecture by Prof. Eric Stöhr from Hanover on the importance of sports for the cardiovascular health of children and adolescents. On September 30, 2026, Dr. Sven Fikenzer from Leipzig will speak about fitness for sports.

June 19, 2026 - The TDSC® (Terror and Disaster Surgical Care) course provides physicians with practical knowledge for providing medical care in terrorist attacks and mass casualty incidents. On August 22 and 23, 2026, participants will train at the Institute for Public Health in Acute Medicine (IPHAM) at UMMD, using realistic case simulations to practice surgical, organizational, and tactical-strategic decision-making processes for highly dynamic emergency situations.
